Mutt's Sauce Original BBQ Sauce is a heritage recipe passed down from Charlynda Scales' grandfather, a man known simply as Mutt, who cooked for the people he loved without ever making it complicated. Charlynda, an Air Force veteran and entrepreneur, took that recipe and built a brand around what it always represented: good food shared with good people.
This is a BBQ sauce for the everyday cook. Not the person chasing trophies at a pitmaster competition — the person feeding their family on a Tuesday, hosting neighbors on a Saturday, and looking for something that actually tastes like it came from someone's kitchen rather than a manufacturing plant.
The flavor profile is what you'd expect from a recipe that didn't come from a lab: the tang of vinegar, a touch of heat from hot sauce, depth from soy and garlic, a balance of sweet and savory that works across proteins and vegetables without taking over.
